Planning to renovate, extend or build? Please verify if your renovation project is subject to the By-Law on Site Planning and Architectural Integration Programmes (SPAIP By-Law) .
Residential cabanas (sheds) - Reminder: Prior to the construction or the installation of a cabana, a building permit application should be made to ensure compliance to the municipal zoning and construction regulations (minimum setbacks, maximum height and floor area, type of foundations, etc.). Even thought a building permit is not required for a cabana with an area of 12 square meters or less without a permanent foundation, the municipal regulations must still be respected. Please consult the applicable regulations.
