The library receives over 500 titles of European, American, Canadian and Quebec-based magazines, as well as many dailies and weeklies.

The Chronicle

The most complete collection of the local newspaper, The Chronicle and its predecessors, may be consulted at the library. In addition to the most recent issues, the library provides its clientele with the microfiche or microfilm of The Lakeshore Press, The Lakeshore News and West Island Chronicle, The News and Chronicle and The Chronicle as far back as the 1920's.

To facilitate access to articles concerning Pointe-Claire, the library has undertaken the task of indexing local newspapers. This project was made possible thanks to subsidies available through the Young Canada Works program. To date, more than 8,500 articles from 1975 to 2006 have been processed and are accessible through author, subject or title searches of the library catalogue.
