The library's collection of local history files contains reproductions of printed archival material, pamphlets, plans, reports, and magazine and newspaper articles.

Photographs of streets, houses, parks, churches, monuments, buildings etc. illustrate the history of the City of Pointe-Claire.

These documents are located in the adult reference section. Ask the librarian at the reference desk if you wish to consult them.

The Chronicle and its predecessors may be consulted at the library. In addition to the most recent issues, the library provides its clientele with the microfiche or microfilm of The Lakeshore Press, The Lakeshore News and West Island Chronicle, The News and Chronicle and The Chronicle as far back as the 1920s.
