The Pointe-Claire Public Security Division has expanded its call centre services to several neighbouring cities. Located in the offices of the Public Security Division, the call centre covers the municipalities of Senneville, Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Baie d'Urfé, Beaconsfield, Kirkland, Pointe-Claire, Dorval and Montreal West, and offers its services to more than 100 000 residents, 24 hours a day, all year round. It can be reached at the following number : 514 630-1234. The call centre processes around 44 000 calls a year and is also used as a Municipal emergency services centre after regular business hours. Citizens must continue to dial 9-1-1 when they want to contact the Fire Department and the Police. The mission The West Island Communication Centre's mission is to receive and deal with citizens' calls for Public Security services as well as for Public Works services after regular business hours, 9-1-1 calls concerning Public Works and general information calls from other Municipal Departments of cities served by the call centre. Type of calls handled Public Security – Public Works – Animal control – Municipal building employees – Volunteer Rescue – Alarm monitoring – N.O.V.A. volunteer nurses The call centre team The team consists of five permanent and three on-call dispatchers working under the supervision of a Head dispatcher. The team coordinates communications between calling parties and strives to offera high-quality service to the population it serves.
