Home > Citizen Services > Parks and Horticulture > Landscaping Landscaping The Parks and Horticulture Division is responsible for the general layouts, landscaping and maintenance of parks. All projects are planned with the intention of providing results most beneficial to all citizens.
The Parks and Horticulture Division's goal is to maintain the quality of landscaping installations of parks equipped with sports fields, children's playgrounds, many green areas, public places, medians, and all other municipal grounds. The quality of services is maintained by various means, namely:
- The restructuring of parks, green areas and municipal property;
- The creation of new parks and green areas;
- The inspection and maintenance of 25 playgrounds in conformity with the criteria set by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) regarding safety regulations for "Playgrounds";
- The fulfillment of needs for, or evaluation of, urban furniture.

Whether planning new developments or the restructuring existing parks, the City of Pointe-Claire tries to entice urban fauna by different means, such as the installation of nesting boxes, the selection of plants which meets the needs for food and shelter of certain species, etc.
