The Pointe-Claire Diving Club has an illustrious history. Since 1974, Pointe-Claire has reigned as one of the most dominant clubs in Canadian Diving, and is the home to a multitude of former World Record Holders and Olympic Medallists.

COACHING STAFF

YIHUA LI: Head Coach

Under the leadership of Yihua Li, the Pointe Claire Dive Club continues to excel as one of the finest diving clubs in the country. A former Olympic diver and World Champion, Yihua has been coaching at Pointe-Claire for the past 12 years. Over this period, she has produced numerous Age Group, Senior National and International champions, including three-time Olympians Anne Montminy (1992, 1996, 2000) and Émilie Heymans (2000, 2004, 2008). In addition to being chosen as Senior Coach of the Year in 1995 and 2000, Yi Hua was awarded the Canadian Coaching Excellence Award for 2000.

AGE GROUP COACHES

The Pointe-Claire Dive Club Age Group Coaching Team draws from some of the most talented and motivated coaches, one of whom is four-time Olympian, David Bédard. Made up of former divers, Pointe-Claire coaches are trained through the National Coaching Certification Program and through the Pointe-Claire Diving Clubs system.

Program Description and Fees 2010/2011

NATIONAL LEVEL
This group is for divers who have made Age Group or Senior Nationals standards and/or have been selected by the coaching staff to train in this group.
Training fees: $2095

TIER I
This group is for divers who are elite and/or have been selected by the coaching staff.
Training fees: $1624

TIER II
This group is divers who have achieved a provincial level.
Training fees: $1154

DEVELOPMENTAL
This group is for less experienced competitive divers.
Training fees: $708

PRE-COMPETITIVE
Designed to improve a child's overall coordination and creates an opportunity to identify young talent for the developmental level.
Training fees: $559

Divers will be placed in their groups after the second week of training.  Placement and movement during the year is at the discretion of the coaching staff.  Please note that training times are subject to change.
