Home > Citizen Services > Recreation > Community programs offered > Park worker program Park worker program
DESCRIPTION The purpose of this program is to reduce the number of youths hanging out in parks after hours and direct them to appropriate resources. Interveners allow teens to speak about their needs, concerns and interests. Our employees promote and organize various activities with youths of our municipality, including BBQ's, graffity contests, pick-up basketball tournaments as well as annual big events; in the past it was the Skatefest while in 2011 it was a BMX airbag event.
