Interim Control Measures

Interim Control By-Law PC-2767 came into force on April 15, 2010

THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL DECREES AS FOLLOWS:

   
1. The following operations are prohibited in the sectors delimited by a blue line in Appendix I attached to the present by-law to form an integral part thereof:

a) Any new land uses requiring:

i) The issuance of a building permit for interior renovations and occupancy if it implies to change the main use of the building;
ii) The issuance of a certificate of authorisation for new occupancy if it implies to change the main use of the building.

b) New constructions requiring:

i) The issuance of a building permit for a new building;
ii) The issuance of a building permit for the extension of a building;

c) The issuance of a subdivision permit and the parcelling out of lots by alienation.”.

2. Except in the sectors delimited by a blue line in Appendix I, and if the condition provided for in the second paragraph is respected, the following operations are permitted on the entire territory of the City:

a) The issuance of a building permit for a new building or for the extension of a building;

b) The issuance of a certificate of authorisation for the landscaping of a property if it implies major earthmoving work or increasing the paved area;

c) The issuance of a building permit or certificate of authorisation for new occupancy if it implies to change the main use of the building.

In the case where a project subject to one of the operations listed in the first paragraph is to be carried out, the piezometric line shall at-no time rise to be at less than 1.5 metre from the surface of the centre of any streets located in the sanitary basin where the immovable is located and for which a permit or certificate request is submitted.
