Reservations and renewals are available through the Library Catalog .

RESERVATIONS

Patrons may place reservations for documents that are either not on the shelves, or which they wish to reserve for pick-up within three (3) days.

Reservations may be placed at the library catalogue terminals, or can be placed online from home. A maximum of six (6) reservations per patron may be placed at one time.

When the requested item becomes available, members are contacted by telephone and have three (3) days to pick up the document.

NEW:  If a document is not picked up within three days after the member has been contacted, a fine of $ 1.00 per item will be charged.
To place a reservation from the document record, the patron must click on the HOLDS icon, type his/her membership number and password in the screen that follows, then click on SUBMIT.  From the drop down menu, it is necessary to select a location desired for pick up of the document (Central or Valois only), then click on SUBMIT.

The system then takes a few minutes to validate the request. It is strongly recommended to verify that the reservation has been accepted by the system by going to PATRON SERVICES.

RENEWALS

Loan renewals may be done online from home for documents eligible for renewal which are not overdue.

To renew a document in the Library Catalog, the patron must click on the PATRON SERVICES icon, type his/her membership number and password in the screen that follows, then click on SUBMIT.

Under CURRENT LOANS, it is necessary to click in the RENEWAL box for the document to renew, then click on RENEW.

Late documents cannot be renewed online.

The library personnel will be happy to assist in renewing loans by telephone.
