TRANSVERSE FLUTE CLASSES - SUZUKI METHOD
The Suzuki approach is essentially the mother tongue method of learning a language. The participation of the parent is vital in the success of the child’s education. The parent attends classes, takes notes and carefully supervises daily home practice, learning along with the child.
At first, the children learn how to play the flute with the Suzuki method of teaching. Gradually, if the teacher feels the child is ready, he or she is introduced to the traditional method of learning the violin or flute (reading notes and rhythm and notions of music theory).
Individual lessons. Fees also include group classes and recitals throughout the year.
Transverse flute classes are held on Thursdays. Our highly qualified professor, Mrs. Claire Marchand, is winner of the 2006 Opus Prize for best concert of the year in contemporary music, and is one of the most sought after flautists in Quebec.
Registration of New Students New students will be considered on appointment only, starting June 7, 2012.
